Private island home for awhile

We got to sail quickly yesterday morning before some stronger northeast winds came in. Stopped on a small secluded strip of beach a little bit before Waukegan. It felt like we had just washed ashore on a deserted island. We were hopeful that the winds and waves would die late evening or early morning but they only grew. Around 4am we pulled Makeba up the beach more so that she wouldn't get whisked away in the crashing waves. The waterline had nearly reached our tent, so we moved that up the beach as far as possible as well. This morning we packed up and headed into town knowing that it would be another weather day. Tomorrow looks more promising, so for now its town exploring and one more night on our private island home!

Knowing our love for beach treasures, our boat, and our muscles, we have decided its best that we admire the things we find on the beach...and leave them at the beach. We will be leaving treasure piles on the beach for others to find. Its like a treasure hunt if you are up for the challenge!
