Makeba's Big Show at PoCo!

We recently spent the last month practically living in a museum.  Not just any museum, though.  Porter County Museum of History to be precise.  We had only one month to get everything together, so we got to work and got Makeba out of that cold, dusty warehouse she'd been living in for the past four months.
We're pretty much professionals when it comes to transportation...  Well as long as it's safe, right?
She fits!  Looks like we've got a lot of work to do!
We were given full control of the room, so we got to work choosing colors and display themes!  Something had to be done about these red walls.
Begin strategizing!
A paddle here?  A life jacket there?  A TV everywhere?  Maybe bigger.
Mmmm what a nice light blue!  Makeba's starting to feel at home!
Even though things were real messy for a long time.
It slowly came together.
Gotta put our logo up!
Paint, paint, paint.
Cut, cut, cut.
So how are we going to get this sail up on the ceiling?
Zip tie it up! Lookin' good!

See Amy work.
She works hard.
And Mary too.
This is probably the biggest Makeba has ever looked.  -As a boat.
Things are happening!
These display cases really make our things look like real artifacts.
Always measure twice!
Plotting our path on the 7ft map!
If you visit, don't forget to write on our dream wall!  Everybody's got a dream!
Everything came together!
We didn't put up too many pictures of the final product because we want you to see it in person!  Makeba will be at the Porter County Museum of History until June 15th.  So be sure to stop by Valparaiso, IN Wed-Sat 9-5 and say hello!
We were super excited to see the museum put up a sign of our exhibit on their front door.

So we were even more excited and surprised to see the huge banners they put up on the building a while later!  Thanks for everything PoCo Muse!  We love you guys!

  1. I can't believe how much work you both put into the exhibit! It looks great! I'm hoping to stop in this weekend (Saturday)and see it in person!

  3. I very much enjoy Michigan especially because I love the outdoors. I recently moved here this past fall and I go kayaking, hiking, and camping. I was grateful that I was able to find some moving companies in Michigan that were able to give me great rates and offer free in-home estimates!
